Description
Youth are invited to join our Life Skills team in creating an impactful Anti-Gambling Awareness project, focusing on the risks of video game gambling and loot box betting. This exciting project offers the chance for young people to collaborate, research, and contribute to a professionally recorded video. If your child has an interest in media, acting, video games, or simply wants to showcase their creativity, this is a fun and rewarding opportunity!
Last year, our Girls’ Empowerment Group took part in this project, researching the dangers of Youth Sports Betting. The girls wrote their own script, performed in the video, and brought this important issue to life in a way that was both informative and engaging. After submitting the video, we were thrilled to learn that our project won the Best Video award! As a result, we received a $5,000 prize and had the honor of attending an awards ceremony in Hartford, CT, where our video was featured and the group received their prize live on TV!
This project promotes a critical message and offers a chance for youth to develop valuable skills and gain recognition for their creativity. We hope your child will join us in making a difference!
